* Prior to deploying our Windows 11 "Older PC" Upgrade Service we will perform a free, detailed "Windows 11 Assurance" pre-check test to determine if your Older PC is a viable candidate for a Windows 11 upgrade. The results of our free Windows 11 Assurance pre-check test will provide us with the necessary information to predict the success potential of your particular Older PC's Windows 11 upgrade. If we make the assessment that your Older PC is not a good candidate for a Windows 11 upgrade, we will communicate this to you up front. Otherwise, we will recommend upgrading your Older PC to Windows 11 v23H2. In the unlikely event our Windows 11 Assurance pre-check test missed the mark and there is a problem with an application or function on your Older PC post-upgrade, we will offer an available workaround. If a workaround does not resolve the problem to your full satisfaction we will restore your Older PC back to Windows 10 and refund your full purchase price, as long as you notify us of any upgrade related problem within 5 business days of your particular Windows 11 upgrade. The method  that we use to upgrade your Older PC to Windows 11 is completely legal and an accepted practice among IT Professionals.

  ** A particular PC's hardware eligibility to "automatically" upgrade to Windows 11 is based on the results from Microsoft's "PC Health Check" application. The following are the critical Windows 11 eligibility components that are evaluated in Microsoft's "PC Health Check" application:

• Secure Boot Support is an important security feature designed to prevent malicious software from loading when your PC starts up (boots).  Most modern PCs are capable of Secure Boot, but in some instances, there may be settings that cause the PC to appear to not be capable of Secure Boot.

• Trusted Platform Module (TPM)  is a hardware security chip embedded on the PC's motherboard which helps protect a device's operating system and firmware from tampering. It's used in many services, including BitLocker drive encryption and Windows Hello. TPM v2.0 became the standard for new PCs in 2016.

• A Windows 11 supported processor aka CPU that has been certified by Microsoft. The fact that a CPU has not been certified by Microsoft does not necessarily mean that Windows 11 will not run on it. It just means it has not been certified or tested to run Windows 11. If this were the case, all of our previous customer's Windows 11 upgraded "Older PCs" (that lacked a Windows 11 certified CPU) would be blue screening all over the place. We have successfully upgraded many older Intel and AMD CPUs that have been manufactured as far back as  2015 to Windows 11, with Zero Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) events or post-upgrade issues.

In summary, it has been our experience that PCs manufactured after 2016 will pass Microsoft's "PC Health Check" supported Secure Boot and TPM v2.0 prerequisite, which will ensure the necessary security requirements to upgrade to Windows 11, if your Older PC was produced after this date. Subsequently, most often, it will be Microsoft's "PC Health Check" supported CPU prerequisite that fails the necessary requirement in order to "automatically upgrade" your Older PC to Windows 11.  Most notably what we have observed during the past 12 months since rolling out our Windows 11 "Older PC" Upgrade Service is: If a CPU runs on Windows 10, it will in all likelihood run on Windows 11. 

*** Microsoft sets their own timetable for the "Support Life" of their Windows Product Offering and is subject to change at their discretion.  It Is our best estimate that Windows 11 Free "Update Support" will run through 10/14/2026 at the very least. Windows 10 Free "Update Support" will be discontinued by Microsoft on 10/14/2025. 

**** Windows 11 supports the vast majority of Windows 10 applications. If an application runs on Windows 10, it will most likely run on Windows 11.  There are however,  one-off exceptions to this.
