In the rare case that the pre-check misses an issue and there is a problem with an application or function post-upgrade, we will provide a workaround. If the workaround does not fully resolve the issue, we will restore your system to Windows 10 and refund your full purchase price, provided you notify us of any upgrade-related issues within 5 business days. The method we use to upgrade your older PC or Laptop to Windows 11 is fully legal and a standard practice among IT professionals.

 ** A PC or Laptop's eligibility for an "automatic" upgrade to Windows 11 is determined by the results of Microsoft's PC Health Check application. The following are the key eligibility factors assessed by the PC Health Check application:

• Secure Boot Support is an important security feature designed to prevent malicious software from loading when your PC starts up (boots).  Most modern PCs are capable of Secure Boot, but in some instances, there may be settings that cause the PC to appear to not be capable of Secure Boot.

• Trusted Platform Module (TPM)  is a hardware security chip embedded on the PC's motherboard which helps protect a device's operating system and firmware from tampering. It's used in many services, including BitLocker drive encryption and Windows Hello. TPM v2.0 became the standard for new PCs in 2016.

• A Windows 11 supported processor aka CPU that has been certified by Microsoft. The fact that a CPU has not been certified by Microsoft does not necessarily mean that Windows 11 will not run on it. It just means it has not been tested or officially certified to run Windows 11.

In summary, based on our experience, a PC or Laptop manufactured after 2016 will typically meet Microsoft's "PC Health Check" prerequisites for Secure Boot and TPM v2.0, ensuring the necessary security requirements are in place for a Windows 11 upgrade.

However, it's often the supported CPU requirement in Microsoft's "PC Health Check" that prevents the automatic upgrade of older PCs or laptops to Windows 11. Over the past 12 months, as part of our Windows 11 "Older PC" Upgrade Service, we have found that if a CPU can run Windows 10, it will most likely be able to run Windows 11.

Additionally, we’ve successfully upgraded PCs and Laptops manufactured before 2016, with minimal risk, which customers have accepted based on their specific computing needs. PCs or Laptops built before 2011, however, cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 due to other technical limitations.

*** Microsoft determines the timeline for the "Support Life" of its Windows product offerings, and this may change at their discretion. Windows 11 will receive free "Update Support" at least until October 14, 2026. Given that Windows 10 had a 10-year support lifespan, it is reasonable to expect that Windows 11 will continue to receive free "Update Support" until around 2030. Microsoft will end free "Update Support" for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.

**** Windows 11 supports the vast majority of Windows 10 applications. If an application runs on Windows 10, it is highly likely to run on Windows 11 as well. However, there may be occasional exceptions to this.
